Before we start, here’s a quick followup on evidence published March 31, 2018 titled Two Days Later, Guess What Happens, which features communications a mother is receiving from her late-son who now lives in heaven. Here is her message to me.
Her name is Joan Marie Villavicencio Faypon and her late-son is Gerald Alvin Faypon. What an honor and pleasure it is getting to know Joan, being contacted by her late-son who used one of the signatures he has established with his mom as described in her evidence, and sharing their incredible story with you. Awesome!
So let’s begin – Have you ever wondered exactly what you have to do to actually get a response to your prayers?
I want to share with you what I have learned is essential to having your prayers answered by Jesus. To demonstrate exactly what I am talking about, let’s compare two very different prayers that were used in two unrelated situations, both involving the possibility of dire consequences for the people involved, and both received an immediate response to their prayers from Jesus Christ personally.
The first situation is about a real life mom and dad whose three year old son claims to have visited heaven during his emergency surgery on March 5, 2003.
After recovering from surgery, their three year old son began telling them about things that happened in their lives long before his birth. Describing events and people that seem impossible for him to have known about at the age of three. Examples include: knowledge of an unborn sister miscarried by his mother in 1998; and details of a great-grandfather, who had died 30 years before this three year old was even born – 30 years – which is when his own-dad was just seven years old.
This is an amazing story that has been made into a book and a movie, called Heaven is for Real. I give full credit for these works, coming up in this post, along with links to the book, the movie, and to two interviews (recorded 2 years apart) with the actual family who is portrayed in the book and movie. Fascinating, and highly recommended for you!
In this post, for today’s purpose of identifying exactly what you have to do to actually get an immediate-response to your most important prayers, I will show you :54-seconds of an interview with the family. Not the actors in the movie, who I would love to interview by the way, but the actual family members involved in this event.
This short :54 second video is a compilation of 3 separate parts of the interview that pertain specifically, and only, to the father’s prayer that brought his son back from heaven.
Among the things you will see is something you may not have considered before – which is what happens on “both ends” of a prayer between heaven and earth. In this case, those ends are: (1) the father’s situation on earth when he said this unusual prayer, and (2) his son’s reaction in heaven when Jesus tells him he has to go back to earth in order for Jesus to answer his father’s prayer.
Notice the intensity of his prayer? Perhaps we should recognize desperation, as well. His one-way conversation with God really flowed from his heart, without need for a script to read.
Compare that with this next prayer which is an excerpt from the very first post ever published on this website, ThereYouAreJesus.com. In it, I am describing my prayer that Jesus interrupted visually (highlighted in red).
You may not need a response to each and every prayer you say. For some, if not most, simply reassuring Jesus of our love and beliefs are all we may need. But some of your prayers can be far more urgent. Those are the ones I want to focus on in this analysis.
First, in reference to the Dad’s frustrated prayer, I am not advising that you speak disrespectfully when praying to God. I think God gave Colton’s Dad a pass on the tone of his prayer because Colton’s Dad already had a relationship with God, evident by him already being a Christian Pastor.
You probably won’t find prayers like these pre-written in a prayer book. Yet God responded to them, immediately. Why do you think that is? I think it’s because that prayer came from deep within the heart of Colton’s dad and God knew it because he already knows Colton’s dad.
When I first learned of Colton’s Dad’s prayer, I was thinking his was born in frustration whereas mine was born in desperation. However in CBN’s 2nd interview with the family, Colton’s Dad describes his own prayer as “desperate.” Which identifies a common-denominator between our two very different prayers, both of which received an immediate response from Jesus Christ.
I am dedicating this post to my friend Gail, who recently lost her oldest son.
I love you Gail and my heart aches for you as a parent. At the same time, and as you know, I also am celebrating your son’s birth into heaven. Everyone who I’ve seen testify about having visited heaven and then returning to earth have said they would have preferred to stay right there in heaven once they saw, and felt, the beauty that awaits in our eternal life with Jesus.
Although we will miss our loved-ones terribly as they leave this earth, we can also be 100% confident that they are right where they prefer to be once they get to heaven, just waiting for God to bring us home to see them again. All in good time, amen.
Springboard & Handoff Into God’s Love
Today’s Springboard begins with a Bible verse and finishes with a Handoff letting you jump-in with your own thoughts and concerns that flow-freely from your heart, if you let them. It may take some time for your conversation with God to begin, but take all the time you need. Once we learn to pray with our heart and not just our lips, we begin to have a real conversation with God.
Here is the springboard:
John 14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
And here is the handoff to you for your heart-to-heart conversation with Jesus Christ.
This next photo looks like a simple spring bloom just in time for Mother’s Day, doesn’t it?
Well take a closer look
Water droplets in the shape of hearts! Is that not awesome?
I love it – Happy Mother’s Day!!

Here is a link to the CBN Interview from which the :54-second video used in this post comes from.
Here is a second link to a CBN “followup-Interview 2 years after” the first interview which I have linked directly above. Two of the reasons I am bringing this 2nd interview to your attention are: (a) The family provides information that is additional to what they provided in the first CBN interview, and (b) because Colton’s Dad describes his “irreverent” prayer as a “desperate” prayer, which is exactly how I described my prayer that Jesus interrupted-visually back in 2013. When I first learned of Colton’s Dad’s prayer, I was thinking his was born in frustration whereas mine was born in desperation. However in this 2nd interview, Colton’s Dad describes his own prayer as “desperate.” Which identifies a common denominator between our two very different prayers, both of which received an immediate response from Jesus Christ.
